Larry Handlin, D.O., is committed to caring for patients who are dealing with heart diseases and other heart-related conditions. He has more than 20 years of clinical experience caring for patients with cardiovascular disease as he previously served the Mexico, MO, community prior to coming to Northeast Regional Medical Center.  He offers a wide range of diagnostic services and treatments for general cardiology, heart attack, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-difibrillator (ICD) placements and coronary stent placement.

Tracy Novinger, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner with over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry. She is dedicated to providing high-quality cardiovascular care close to home. She focuses on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of heart and vascular conditions. Novinger prioritizes building lasting relationships with patients, taking time to listen, educate and develop individualized treatment plans that support healthier lives.

Novinger offers cardiovascular evaluations; hypertension (high blood pressure) management; cholesterol and lipid disorder treatment; heart disease prevention; cardiovascular risk assessment; coronary artery disease management; heart failure evaluation and follow-up care; atrial fibrillation management; evaluation of palpitations, dizziness, and syncope; pre-operative cardiac assessments; electrocardiogram interpretation; Holter and event monitor management; and echocardiogram and cardiac testing review. She also provides medication management and optimization, smoking cessation and heart-healthy lifestyle counseling, along with coordination of care with primary care providers and specialty physicians.

Novinger practices under the direct supervision of Dr. Larry Handlin, board-certified interventional cardiologist. Novinger is accepting new patients at Northeast Regional Heart Center.
